You knew I was leaving on Friday. And it might be Weird Al, but it might also be a Twisted Tune from KISW.

Eh... "Open Sores" as Tucker called it, was pretty cool besides the fact that the power breakers were bad. We had no heat almost all night for both nights and it sucked so bad. And last night, we had to stay up waiting for Heather to call up (she needed the key card to get in). Aubri fell asleep instantly at aroun 11:00PM, and I was hanging in there, but fell asleep ten minutes before the cellphone rang and Kris answered it. So we got up and walked out in the 33 degree weather at 1:00AM and waited. We were so tired, Aubri had put on to different shoes (one tennis shoe and one boot). That sucked, but then the heat went off. x_x

The ocean was great though. We walked all the way down to the Quinault Casino and back (about one and a half miles round trip).

But the best part of all was the trip there. Heather, Aubri, Kris, and I were just cruising along until Hrather's phone rang. She was driving and cursed, hoping it would be short (this was at 8:00PM). Her cousin calls up and has a midlife crisis on the other end. It was so fucking funny because Heather was freaking out, telling her not to drive home and what not. The call(s) lasted around fifteen minutes, not counting the dead time when she wasn't on the cell. Then we stopped at McDonald's and had some stuff to eat as Heather told the whole story to Tucker and Debbie.

And now I'm dead tired, barely had any sleep at all because Aubri likes to wake up at the crack of dawn and no heat. And now my mom's yelling at me about something. Grr.
Maybe I'll do something productive later.

Litany stared dully at her fighter’s scanner. The field was garishly red with enemy fighters. Sprinkles of green dotted here and there; a butterfly’s chance against a hurricane.
“Travis,” she whispered softly, reaching tentatively for her controls.
“Did you say something, Litany?” Phoenix asked as his fighter’s cannons gunned down a fleeing TIDAL aircraft.
“No,” replied the weapons technician. “No, I didn’t,” she asserted more firmly. “Just praying for luck…”
“Yeah, we could use some of that,” Hydro laughed mirthlessly. “Pyre, watch your ass.”
“Shut up,” muttered the mechanic, veering sharply to the left to avoid being shot down. “I know what I’m doing.” Litany glanced at her fuel; below halfway but perhaps it would be enough… Another glance at the scanner confirmed what she hoped; a thick flock of TIDAL fighters dead ahead. Perfect.
‘I’m so sorry, everyone,’ thought the twenty-two-year-old sadly. ‘I’m so sorry…’ Litany steered her fighter towards the cluster of red dots.
“Need some help?” Obviously Phoenix was keeping tabs on her.
“No,” she replied shortly, then switched her headset off. It would be a lot better without the demands of her fellow COR members and her family ringing in her ears as she did what she planned to do. The young Japanese woman closed her eyes as a single tear slipped down her face. “I’m sorry… Computer, eject fuel tank forward on command.”
“Processing,” the bored female voice droned. “Command validated. Awaiting confirmation…”
